Both Feet Privacy Policy

Both Feet is an offline shoe-skills aide for parents and caregivers. It is intended for adults to use while supporting a child; it is not designed for a child to use unsupervised.

Information stored on your device

The app can store a child’s first name and age; lace, handedness, readiness, and shoe-marking setup choices; caregiver-recorded practice ratings, session history, progress, mastery, and rewards; foot and shoe measurements and calculated re-measure dates; and app preferences such as speech and timer settings. The in-app copy uses Android app-private storage on the device where you enter it.

No Both Feet account, developer analytics, or data sale

Both Feet has no developer account system, advertising, developer analytics, cloud sync, or developer server. Both Feet does not upload the child information and measurements you enter, sell them, or share them with the developer. The Android app requests no camera, microphone, location, contacts, advertising-ID, or broad-storage permissions.

Optional Google Play purchase

The Android app offers an optional, one-time Family Toolkit purchase. Google Play Billing communicates with Google to load, process, verify, and restore purchases and may process billing information and operational diagnostics under Google’s terms and privacy policy. Both Feet does not receive or store your payment-card details. The app asks Google Play whether the product is owned and keeps a local entitlement flag so purchased household features can remain available offline. Purchase restoration restores access only—it does not restore child records, which remain in the original app installation unless you exported them.

Exports, calendar files, and printing

If you choose to export a record or save an .ics calendar file, the app asks Android to save a file that may include information you entered. If you choose to print the Ladder Card, the child’s name and progress are sent to the Android print service and printer you select. A document provider, calendar, cloud service, print service, printer, or person you select handles that copy under its own terms and privacy policy. Deleting data from Both Feet does not delete files, printed copies, or calendar events outside the app.

Deletion and retention

Choose Erase data stored in this app from the Method screen to remove Both Feet’s local records from the device. The Android release build disables Android Auto Backup for this app, so the app does not place these records in an Android backup. Uninstalling the app also removes its local app data, subject to normal operating-system behavior.

Research links

The Method screen includes optional links to independent research and educational websites. Those links open only when you choose them, in your browser. Their operators handle any information you provide under their own privacy policies.

Both Feet is an educational tool, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. For pain, persistent walking concerns, or foot changes, consult a qualified clinician.
