At 30 minutes a day, a steady 500 WPM covers the equivalent of about 55 books of 100,000 words each, compared with about 28 at the average adult fiction-reading pace: roughly 26 additional book-equivalents over 365 days. This is a calculation before Redline Reader’s added delays and rereading, not a measured outcome or a promise of equal comprehension. Shorter books increase the count; longer books decrease it.

Can I read the books I already own?
You can import DRM-free EPUB files from your device or paste text. Books locked to another service with DRM can’t be imported. Eight public-domain classics are included, so you can start without finding a file first.
Can I use it offline?
Yes. The included books, imported books, saved progress, and Field Notes work on your device. Downloading an optional book from the Project Gutenberg shelf needs a connection; reading it afterward does not.
What am I paying for?
A one-time Android app purchase covers adjustable one-word reading, offline Field Notes, saved progress, and support for your own DRM-free EPUBs. The included classics are public-domain texts. There are no subscriptions, in-app purchases, or ads.
How much faster can I read?
You can choose a setting from 100 to 1,000 WPM, but a speed setting isn’t a measure of how much you understand. Choose a pace at which you can follow and remember the passage. We haven’t yet measured an average speed improvement for Redline Reader users.
